Make your first video, step by step
Here is the whole flow from a blank page to a finished video:
- Open the Create page. Sign in and go to Create a video. Your first video is free.
- Choose your source. Use the tabs to start from a Prompt, or upload a PDF, Word doc or Image, or paste a URL — the AI reads any of them.
- Describe it (or paste your file). For a prompt, say what to explain and who it's for, e.g. “Explain how photosynthesis works, for 5th graders.” Tip: write the length right in the prompt (“a 60-second video”) and it's used automatically.
- Pick orientation & style. Choose Landscape (YouTube) or Portrait (Shorts/Reels/TikTok), then a video style and the drawing hand.
- Set voice, language & length. Pick a narration voice and a language (or leave it on Auto-detect). Set the length with the slider — free is up to 1 minute, paid up to 10.
- (Paid) Review & edit the scenes. Click Review & edit scenes first to preview and tweak each scene's narration and illustration before it renders, or turn on silent mode for no voiceover.
- Generate, watch & download. Hit Generate. In a few minutes the AI writes the script, draws every scene and narrates it. Watch it, download in HD, and share.
Turn a PDF, Word doc, image or URL into a video
You do not have to write a prompt. On the Create page, switch tabs to upload a PDF or Word document, drop in an image, or paste a URL (an article, a product page, a blog post). The AI reads the content, pulls out the key points, and turns them into a narrated whiteboard video — perfect for repurposing material you already have.
Writing a great prompt
If you start from a prompt, a little detail goes a long way. Say what to explain, who it is for, and roughly how long it should be. For example: “A 60-second explainer on how compound interest works, for first-time investors, friendly and encouraging.” The clearer the brief, the better the script.
