Hey! Let's learn Coulomb's Law in the easiest way! The electric force between two point charges is directly proportional to the product of the charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them — like charges repel! Using F equals k q1 q2 over r squared, where k is nine times ten to the ninth, if q1 and q2 equal one coulomb at one meter, F equals nine times ten to the ninth newtons — that's one coulomb's definition. In vector form, F12 equals minus F21: same signs repel along r12, opposite signs attract along minus r12. Force reduces in a medium because permittivity increases — that's relative permittivity, epsilon r. Remember, this is a two-body interaction, only for stationary point charges. Study smart, keep going — you can do it!
