It all starts in the classroom, where the teacher stands at the front and delivers a whole-class lesson to every student at once. The teacher then pulls three students aside for a small-group intervention, giving them extra hands-on support to reinforce exactly what was just taught. After the intervention, the teacher assigns a SideBySide lesson — pre-built and fully aligned to state standards — sending it straight home with just a few clicks. Parents and caregivers instantly receive a notification on their phone, letting them know the teacher has assigned a new SideBySide lesson for their child. At home, the caregiver confidently guides the student through clear step-by-step instructions, while the child works through the problems on good old pencil and paper, keeping screen time low. When the session is complete, all of the session data is automatically shared back with the teacher, closing the loop and keeping everyone on the same page.
