Money is one of the most familiar things in our lives — but very few people understand how it actually works. For most of history, money was physical — gold and silver coins with real, scarce value. Then governments replaced gold with paper — and eventually, modern money became pure digital numbers backed only by trust. When banks issue loans, they don't hand out cash — they literally create new money by typing numbers into an account. Money only powers the economy when it flows — your spending becomes someone's income, again and again. Money isn't gold or paper — it's trust, movement, and agreement.
