Memory Journey Through 20 History Topics

Full transcript

Twenty topics, one random draw, only a minute or two to prepare. Build a memory journey: a long hallway of rooms, each holding one topic, starting with Washington shaping the presidency itself. Walk the rooms: Hamilton and Jefferson arm-wrestle over government, a scroll unrolls for the Bill of Rights, Marshall's gavel cracks for judicial review, a map stretches wide for the Louisiana Purchase, canoes paddle west with Lewis, Clark, and Sacagawea, cannons roar for 1812, a split map balances Missouri, a globe gets a protective shield for Monroe, and Jackson rides tall while tears fall along the Trail. Last rooms: a bell rings for the Great Awakening, a lone star rises for Texas, a wagon rolls west for Manifest Destiny, chains break for abolition, a factory wheel spins for industry, a bank building stands for Hamilton's plan, a ballot box splits for 1824, and Jefferson's door closes the hallway, ready for any topic drawn.
