Full transcript

Deep within Japan’s dark forests lives one of the scariest mythical creatures ever imagined: the Jorōgumo, a spider woman spirit said to haunt lonely mountain trails and abandoned shrines. By day she appears as a stunningly beautiful woman, playing a biwa to enchant lost travelers, but hidden beneath her kimono are eight monstrous spider legs, ready to strike. Once her silken threads wrap around her victim, there is no escape — the Jorōgumo drags them into darkness, feeding on their life, proving why Japan fears her most.
