Scariest Mythical Creatures: Mongolian Death Worm

Full transcript

Deep within the endless Gobi Desert hides a creature so feared, nomads refuse to even speak its name aloud. Locals call it Olgoi-Khorkhoi, meaning 'intestine worm,' because its thick, blood-red body looks exactly like a giant intestine. This mythical creature is said to grow up to five feet long, lurking silently beneath the shifting desert sand. Legends warn that merely touching the Mongolian Death Worm can cause instant death, its skin secreting a deadly poison. Even more terrifying, some say it can kill from a distance, shooting bolts of electricity across the open sand. Explorers and cryptozoologists have searched for decades, yet the Mongolian Death Worm remains unseen, unproven, and utterly mysterious. Whether myth or monster, the Mongolian Death Worm remains one of the scariest mythical creatures ever imagined by humankind.
