As the sun barely rose over the golden fields of Punjab, the whole village slowly began to wake up and come alive with the sounds and smells of a new morning. Roosters crowed from mud-brick courtyards, smoke curled lazily from clay stoves, and the sweet, warm smell of fresh parathas drifted through the narrow village streets. In the distance, farmers were already leading their sturdy buffaloes along the dusty road, all heading toward the busy weekly livestock market held at the edge of town. Among all those farmers walked Ahmed, a hardworking man wearing a neat white turban, his eyes tired from years of labor but still shining with quiet hope for the day ahead. Walking proudly right beside Ahmed was his beloved buffalo, Kaali — a powerful, strong black buffalo with a broad chest and a gentle, steady gaze that showed her calm nature. Together, Ahmed and Kaali walked side by side through the early morning light, farmer and buffalo, both hopeful and ready for whatever the busy market day would bring them.
