In Galgorithm by Aaron Karo, we meet Shane Chambliss, a normal high school student who has been best friends with Jak since they were babies. Jak is a quiet girl who enjoys working out and doesn't talk to many people, while Shane secretly creates an algorithm called the Galgorithm, hidden even from her. You might wonder what the Galgorithm even is. It's a secret system that gives guys advice on exactly what to say and do to impress the girls they like. Shane created it after a painful breakup with a girl nicknamed Voldemort, also known as Faith, since he wasn't mature enough to handle their relationship. A teacher overhears Shane's advice and asks for help, a client sets him up with Tristan, and Shane soon realizes he has real feelings for Jak. Everything spirals when the teacher accidentally posts the Galgorithm online, exposing it to the whole school, and furious girls start calling Shane a stalker. In the end, Shane breaks up with Tristan, tells Jak how he really feels, and gets a chance to be with her, passing the Galgorithm down to Adam.
